They employ Israelis, including handicapped war victims and Beduin (Arab) women. Their jewelry uses Roman glass shards from archaeological digs that date back at least 1800 years. The glass was originally a clear blue-green color, but trace elements in the soil interacted with the glass over time to create thin layers of patina ? the iridescent oxidation on the glass that gives it such splendid color. The workshop also uses Italian Murano glass and Czech glass, making their work an international medley of glass. All silver is at least 80 recycled. Copper is coated with hypoallergenic resin so it does not turn your skin green or tarnish. All stones and pearls are real. The artists hope you will enjoy their work. What is Worldstock?
